So it doesn't seem like there's an official logo for the Home Renovation Tax Credit. While they've used some consistent branding elements, there doesn't seem to be an actual logo. To make things easy, I've cobbled together a logo for you to use.

It's amazing what'll excite a creative person
I'm really excited right now. And it's actually pretty dorky that I'm so excited about this.
Have you ever been searching for an image of billboard to drop your ad onto? Or needed the perfect shot of a person wearing a plain white t-shirt so you can set some type? Well, I stumbled upon a company called LiveSurface and that's all they do - provide stock of images which contain blank surfaces for you to drop ads, type, photos or whatever on to.
They've got blank coffee cups and pieces of paper, empty buttons and people holding blank business cards. And if you actually bother to buy the images, they come fully layered with the selections already completed.

05.10.09: Creative Briefs + Interactive Samples
Last night was a long and hard class, but you should feel good about it. For the most part, we saw people step up their game and show work that was even better than two weeks ago. I'm seeing a trend and it excites me. Every week we need to challenge each other more and push one another further.
The briefs are linked below. Remember, we're not looking for any print. This is purely digital, on-line, interactive and of course, non-traditional. Your ideas will involve motion and you're going to need to figure out the best way to present them. Make sure you give this some thought.

Reminder + Interesting Video
Just a quick reminder that this week's class will be held on Wednesday, not Thursday. If you show up on Thursday, you'll only find our cleaning lady. And while she's real nice, I don't know that she can do much for your book.
Below you'll find a link to my all time favorite speeches from the TED Conference. Ken Robinson speaks about creativity and how our current education system (elementary + high school in particular) seems to do everything it can do undo our the creativity we are all born with. It's amazing we've all made it this far.

Great class, but we've got some work to do + LINKS
Alright, so last night went a bit longer than anticipated. But you guys pushed through and it was still a great class. We saw some awesome work and had some really helpful discussion.
The new briefs will be posted later today - however that doesn't mean you can forget about the ads presented last night. Please take the time this weekend to make any changes we discussed. Do it while everything is fresh in your mind. Some people have small tweaks, while others are just about starting from scratch. It should be pretty clear what you have to do based on last night's discussion, but if you're not sure, please circle back with me.
