The documentary rethought

This isn't a post about advertising per se, it's about innovative thinking. However, if you've been following any of the chatter surrounding Ad Week you'll note that innovation is something that is being expected of all of us more and more. Those who accept the status quo and are content filling in the blanks of the advertising templates created years ago will soon be left behind.

Linked below is a documentary. Although, its a documentary only in content, not in execution. It's interactive and as such can only be viewed on-line. It's the documentary, rethought.

Welcome to Pine Point was conceived by Paul Shoebridge and Michael Simons, who were formerly Creative Directors at Adbusters. The interactive documentary profiles Pine Point, a small town in the Northwest Territories which existed for a mere twenty-five years. It was built to service the Pine Point Mine and abruptly demolished in 1988 when the mine closed.
