Here's bit of what's been going on in the agency world over the past little while that you should know about:
Glen Hunt goes on hiatus
After five years as Creative Catalyst at Dentsu Canada, Glen Hunt is taking some time off. Recently Dentsu's work for Sapporo spent some time on Creativity's Top 20. There are no plans to replace Glen, so if you're looking to submit your book, take your pick from the group of seasoned seniors who'll be running the show after Glen's departure: Les Soos, Deborah Prenger, Jonathan Careless, David West, Greg Trinier, Paul Ruta and Stephen Creet.
Jack Neary comes home
TBWA\Canada is getting a huge injection of creative leadership with the addition of Jack Neary as Executive Creative Director. Formerly he was Worldwide Creative Director of BBDO's P&G work out of New York and prior to that he headed up BBDO Toronto. Moving forward, you're probably going to want to add TBWA\Canada to your list of agencies to watch. Big things are coming.
Brett Channer checks out
Saatchi & Saatchi Canada is losing their Chairman and Executive Creative Director. After eight years Brett Channer is stepping down, although he will remain within the Publicis, the agency's parent company. Helen Pak and Brian Sheppard, who'll be stepping up to fill the vacancy, have been with the agency for three years. You're probably familiar with their recent work for Flash in the Can: The Last Advertising Agency on Earth.

The Last Advertising Agency On Earth
What's going to happen to all the big agencies who don't embrace digital? This video promoting Flash In The Can - a design and technology festival, answers just that.

By the way, they are looking for volunteers if you're interested in this whole digital interweb thingy. Putting in a few hours will get you around that pesky $200 registration fee. Click here for the application form.
Big thanks goes out to third year student Denver Eastman for sending this over.
